Wedding season begins, ‘Daya Bhabhi’ wedding real-life Jetha today

After a long break of four months, muharats for wedding are available again in Gujarati Hindu Vikram Samvat calendar, starting from today. It means the wedding season for Gujarati Hindus is back. Every year, the wedding season for Gujarati Hindus ends on ‘Dev Podhi Agiyaras tithi’ as per Gujarati Hindu Vikram Samvat calendar. The break of wedding season continues till ‘Dev Uthi Agiyaras’ after Diwali which falls on 22nd November this year. Mahurats however are available from today onwards.
There are 9 muharats between 22 November and 16 December, after which Kamurta will set till 17 January.
There shall be availability of 6 muharats in the month of January, 10 in February, 8 in March, 12 in April and 1 in May.
November: 24, 26, 27.
December: 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16.
January: 17, 20, 21, 26, 30, 31.
February: 1, 2, 4, 5, 13, 16, 17, 22, 27, 28.
March: 3, 5, 6, 11, 14, 15, 25, 31.
April: 1, 2, 4, 16, 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 29, 30.
May: 1
July: 7, 10, 11, 12, 13.
Disha Vakani getting married today:
Taara Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah TV serial fame Disha Vakani aka Dayaben is getting married today in presence of selected guests including the producer of this TV series Asit Modi and co-actor Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal. Dayaben’s has tied know with Pavai-Mumbai based Gujarati chartered accountant Mayur Padiya. Wedding function is being held at Oshwiwara, Mumbai. Disha, an Amdavadi girl who is daughter of theater artist Bhim Vakani and sister of sculptor cum actor Mayur Vakani has invited all her friends for the grand reception party to be held on November 25 in Mumbai.
