Shri Jethabhai Bharwad, Chairman of Panchmahal District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd, Godhra has been unanimously elected as the Vice Chairman of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF) today.

Shri Jethabhai Patel, Chairman GCMMF congratulated Shri Bharwad on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jethabhai Bharwad thanked the members of the Board and the milk producers of the state for their support in electing him for this position. He said that he will strive hard to fulfil the new responsibility that has been assigned to him.

Shri Shankarbhai Chaudhary, newly elected Chairman of Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., Palanpur congratulated Shri Jethabhai Bharwad. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Amul has now attained the stature of an internationally recognized brand and there should be no politics in brand marketing, business and quality of milk and milk products. He said that the trust our consumers have in our products is paramount and we cannot afford to allow any compromise in our quality. Further, we as members on board of GCMMF are caretakers of the interest of small milk producers of the state and should work to improve their livelihood.

GCMMF is India’s largest food products marketing organization with annual sales turnover of Rs 21,000 crores. It is a cooperative federation of 3.6 million milk producers across 18500 villages of Gujarat affiliated to 17 district cooperative milk producers unions.
