Ahmedabad
A very important brick in speedily reemerging right ideological system in India, scholar and author of best seller and eye-opener book ‘Breaking India’, Shri Rajiv Malhotra will be in Ahmedabad, Gujarat this Republic day for launch of his book, ‘The battle for Sanskrit’.
The event has been organized by Indus University that has even in the past hosted Shri Rajiv Malhotra for public lectures in this city.
The event has been organized at H.T.Parekh Convention Centre in AMC complex on IIMA road.
The invitation reads, “The book explores the battle between Western and traditional approaches to Sanskrit and sanskriti(civilization). it exposes the dominant Western scholarship, in particular its subversive allegation that the Sanskrit heritage has been a political weapon for social oppression. Without adequate critical inquiry, Indian English language elites have internalized such lopsided ideas and enshrined them in various mainstream institutions. The book proposes a set of debates for the intellectual kurukshetra (battlefield) pertaining to the social, political, historical and contemporary dimensions of Indian sanskriti.”
