Whoever has seen Anant Ambani recently have only one question – how did you achieve the impossible? Of losing so much weight naturally!

Of course, achieving the impossible should come naturally to him. After all, his DNA speaks for itself. He is the grandson of India’s greatest entrepreneur – Shri Dhirubhai Ambani and the youngest son of Shri Mukesh Ambani and Smt. Nita Ambani.

His grandfather will be very proud that Anant has lived his motto – “If you focus on something, then nothing is impossible”

Anant made a self-commitment one-and-a-half years ago: to fight all odds and a medicine-induced obesity, to come out victorious. He has lost a staggering 108 kilograms in less than 18 months, Anant was determined to lose the weight in the most natural and safest way possible. He followed a strict regiment of diet and exercised for 5 to 6 hours every day.

His daily exercise regimen at its peak included a 21-km walk, followed by yoga, weight training, functional training and high-intensity cardio exercises. Anant’s diet demanded that he stuck to a zero sugar, low-carb diet, along with adequate fat and protein.

Nita Ambani, his mother is most pleased about Anant’s accomplishment. Having had seen him through this journey, working hard and sweating it out daily for more than 500 days, Nita is floored by her son’s dedication to his own health.

The determination and will power that Anant has shown in fighting and conquering the most daunting challenge is an inspiration for all, including herself, said the proud mother.

Currently, a junior at Brown University in the US, as a child, Anant suffered from chronic asthma, the strong medication led to his weight gain. Doctors had warned that losing weight by natural means would be an uphill task. But Anant was focussed on getting fit by his 21st birthday.
