Nearly 250 issues raised at ‘Lok Samvad Setu’ at Danta, Amirgarh

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today described Ahmedabad ‘Lok Samvad Setu’ programme as unique attempt to solve people’s problems in a transparent manner at their doorsteps at the district and taluka level itself, as part of the government’s policy of decentralization and create a new work culture.
Speaking at such events held at Danta and Amirgarh talukas in Banaskantha district, she said that Lok Samvad Setu is a vital link between the government and the people to reach out to the last man. Attempt was made to solve maximum number of problems on-the-spot.
With a view to achieve the goal, she said that the government has issued pertinent guidelines to the administration down to the taluka level to make Gujarat Gatisheel, meaning dynamic, and governance accountable.
In all, 128 issues were raised at Danta and 121 issues at Amirgarh, concerning 25 departments mostly related to land measurement, roads, electricity, water, health, irrigation, cattle rearing and co-operatives.
The Chief Minister gave patient hearing to applicants and delivering a compassionate solution after consulting the sarpanch and officials.
Later addressing a meeting of revenue department, she said the purpose of the exercise is to ensure the benefits of the government schemes reached the target groups. The pending issues be carried forward for the next Lok Samvad Setu. She directed the Collector to prepare development plans as per the changing needs of the people, and act fast. She asked the UGVCL to solve problems relating to power.
She handed over the documents changing old conditions into new ones to 1,800 people, allotting 15 acres land for pond at Rangpur in Danta taluka, handing over cheque under Sankat Mochan Yojna to one Leelaben Motibhai Raval of Pethapur in Danta taluka.
Prominent among those present during the meeting included Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai Chaudhry, BJP District President Keshaji Chauhan, MLAs, In-charge Secretary Arunkumar Solanki, Collector Dilip Rana, DDO Gaurav Dahiya, DSP Niraj Balgujar, taluka and prant officers.
