Polling of two municipalities, 19 other seats in Gujarat on July 10

State Election Commission of Gujarat has announced general elections of two municipalities – Thara in Banaskantha district and Okha in Devbhoomi Dwarka district. Thara is D class municipality with 6 wards and 24 seats while Okha is B class municipality with 9 wards and 36 seats.
Polling for two municipalities will take place on 10 July while counting will take place on 11 July.
With this by-polls will take place for 1 seat each of Wankaner, Dahegam, Vadhwan and Chanasma municipalities and 2 seats of Visavdar municipalities.
By-polls will also take place on same date for Pansar, Shangal and Kondh seatch of Gandhinagar, Arvalli and Surendranagar districts respectively.
Taluka Panchayat seats Morvada, Pipli, Satlasna, Vasa, Khoda, Abasana, Minavada, Mudarda and Jamvali will also witness bypolls in Bhesan, Dholera, Satlasna, Harij, Kankrej, Bhabhar, Mahudha, Jotana and Thangadh taluka panchayats respectively.
Thus in total 67 municipality seat, 3 district panchayat seats and 9 taluka panchayat seats will go for polling on July 10.
