City based Parul University founder president Jayesh Patel has resigned from the post of President of University and handed over charge to his son Dr. Devanshu Patel. Jayesh Patel is accused in rape case and he has gone underground. Police has formed four teams to find him out. Meanwhile local BJP MLA Madhu Shrivastava who represents Waghodia assembly constituency where Parul University is located has demanded that Gujarat government should take over this university. Jayesh Patel has in the past contested assembly elections twice against Shrivastava as Congress candidate.Shrivastava has given Waghodia bandh call today. In another development, victim girl’s test reports are positive.Jayesh Patel who has gone underground is likely to file anticipatory bail plea today or tomorrow to evade arrest. However looking at case details,he is not likely to get any relief.In another development, Parul University has deactivated its all social media accounts including its very popular Facebook page.
