Gov, Mehbooba to review situation with security, intelligence officers

Srinagar:Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will review the situation in the state with the heads of security forces and intelligence agencies in the wake of the terror attack on an army base in Uri that left 17 soldiers dead.
“The Governor and Chief Minister would be meeting the heads of security forces and intelligence agencies at the Raj Bhavan this evening to review the security situation,” an official spokesman said.
The spokesman said the Governor called Army’s Northern Command chief Lt Gen D S Hooda and Chinar Corps commander Lt Gen Satish Dua to convey his condolences over the loss of lives.
“After the Pakistani fidayeen attack at an army camp at Uri this morning, Governor N N Vohra called Lt Gen D S Hooda, Northern Army Commander and Lt Gen Satish Dua, GOC 15 Corps, and conveyed his heartfelt sympathy on the loss of lives of brave soldiers.
“He saluted the martyrs and wished early recovery to those injured,” the spokesman said.
