President and PM both in Gujarat tomorrow, albeit not together

Gandhinagar: President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both will be in Gujarat tomorrow albeit they will be participating in different programs and won’t be together.

Section officer of the protocol department here, Mr M R Mallik today said that the president is scheduled to visit tomorrow evening at Ahmedabad from where he would move to Gandhinagar for a night stay at Rajbhavan. The next day he will left for Bharuch by helicopter from Sachivalay helipad and inaugurate the renovated Sevashram Hospital at Bharuch later he will go to Ankleshwar and will also inaugurate the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Heart Institute there.

Later the president will come to Gandhinagar and address the students and faculty of Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village and Samarpan College run by a trust of the leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela.

The President will also meet former Gujarat Chief Minister Madhavsinh Solanki before returning to Delhi on October 23.

Mr Mallik said that Prime Minister Modi on the other hand will arrive Vadodara airport tomorrow at around 0230 pm and inaugurate the newly built international terminal there.

He would later participate in a function of the union social justice and empowerment ministry and the district administration where he would distribute aid kits to around 10000 divyangs (differently abled persons).

The Prime Minister will leave for Delhi the same day from Vadodara, Mr Mallik said.
