MoU signed between Gujarat and Hyogo Province in Japan in presence of Modi, Abe

Tokyo: Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined by Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe had ride in bullet train. Both leaders along with other dignitaries reached Hyogo Prefecture, where at Hyogo House the Prime Minister Modi was received by Hyogo Governor. A Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) was signed here between Gujarat government and Hyogo Prefecture regarding provincial connections. From Gujarat side, the MoU was signed by Indian High Commissioner in Japan Mr. Chinai who is Gujarati from Rajkot. The Prime Minister later addressed luncheon gathering in which he recalled his association with Hyogo Prefecture and his visits as Gujarat Chief Minister to Kobe in year 2007 and also in 2012. The PM said, “Our leadership is characterized by complete trust and mutual confidence.” Modi thanked Hyogo Governor Ido for “valuable efforts to develop relations with Gujarat”. The Prime Minister further noted that Indian community in Kobe has a long history of trade and commerce. He congratulated all residence of Kobe on forthcoming 150 years of its port.
