Representation made to Prime Minister regarding Gujarat DCBs

Surat: A representation led by national president of ruling BJP Shri Amit Shah yesterday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to make representation on RBI treatment to district cooperative banks in Gujarat post demonetization move.

According to Mukesh Patel who is MLA elected from Olpad in South Gujarat, he along with others met Prime Minister Modi under leadership of Amit Shah and made representation that Gujarat based district cooperative banks were singled out by the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) and barred from procedure of exchange of old notes. Representation was made to ensure increase in flow of cash to district cooperative banks.

Prime Minister Modi heard the representation made and assured he would look into it.

BJP MP Vitthal Radadia and former MP Dilip Sanghani among others have already raised their voice against RBI move.

In another development, businessmen from Surat led by Chamber president BS Agrawal called on union cabinet minister Kalraj Mishra and made representation that due to lack of enough cash, the procedures such as issuance of wages, transport etc are hampered, therefore cash liquidity has to be increased.
