More interesting details about Pakistani held at Surat with fake Indian currency

Surat: Pakistani citizen who was held yesterday at Surat railway station in Gujarat by Railway Police(RPF) with 10 fake notes of Rs 500 denomination belongs to Bohra community. Gujarati speaking and Modi supporting Bohra community of Muslim is largely into trade and businesses and spread across the world.

Pakistani citizen Burhanuddin Sajjad said he has been in India during 2013-16 for number of times to participate in Dawoodi Bohra community events and also for textile trade, mainly involving burkha(veil). He has been visited India for about dozen times. He has Pakistani passport upto 2025. Earlier passport was full of capacity and it too had number of stamps.

Sajjad said he came to India this time on 22 November via Samjauta Express train. Later he went back to Pakistan via Atari. He returned to India on December 12 to attend religious Urs in Vasai.

Sajjad has identity card of his religious community. When he visits India for religious functions, he stays in community’s shelters and fixes deal into textiles. He purchases items in Surat, Mumbai and Amrutsar to sell them in Karachi. Similarly he brings textile items from Pakistan to sell at Surat and Mumbai.

Sajjad said he was innocent and added that he came to India with only American dollars. When he exchanged dollars near Amrutsar railway station, he was given 10 fake notes of Rs 500 denomination by an agent there. Sajjad said he was not aware that he was given fake notes by an agent.

Sajjad said he has come to India via Atari land border and his exit from Lahore and entry at Atari both are registered in his passport.

Sajjad had argument with another passenger over the issue of seat at Surat railway station as he had RAC ticket in Amrutsar-Mumbai Golden Temple Express train. The other passenger had informed police about this. When Sajjad was on way to ticket window at Surat railway station, he was caught in patrolling of RPF.
