Gujarat CM opens first AVMS RTO check post at Shamlaji

Shamlaji: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated India’s first Automatic Vehicle Monitoring System(AVMS) equipped interstate RTO check post at Shamlaji near Gujarat-Rajasthan border.
Rs 4.72 crore check post is equipped with state-of-the-art automatic system to check overloaded vehicles and fine them.
Rupani said all 16 check posts of Gujarat will be made modern and automatic at a cost of Rs 35 crore during next year.
Rupani said the new AVMS RTO checkpost equipped with laser technology will eliminate influence of mafias and middlemen at check post.
