Bhuj: Brave women from Madhapar in Kutch district of Gujarat who built runway during 1971 war were invited to Republic day parade in Delhi this year. Defense minister Manohar Parrikar met the women at his residence in Delhi and asked them to build a new generation of brave women. According to Virbai Vagadia, the defense minister accepted a request to give away old Mig-23 plane to Madhapar village in order to showcase it at ring road in memory of 1971 war and the role the village women played during the war.
