PM Modi meets mother Hiraba

Gandhingar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived on two day visit of home state Gujarat today, went to meet his Nonagenarian mother Hiraba here in the evening and spent around 15 to 20 minutes with her.
Modi, who landed at Surat airport and later moved to Dahej for inauguration of a petrochemical plant there and a bridge in Bharuch came to Ahmedabad airport in the evening and after addressing a meeting of party workers moved to his brother Pankaj Modi’s residence in Raisan close to Gandhinagar to meet his mother who lives with him.
He took her blessings and inquired about her health and later left.
The Prime Minister, who makes it a point to meet his mother during Gujarat visits, would participate in a dinner hosted by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and make a night stay at Rajbhawan here. He will go to Somnath temple tomorrow morning and address a conference of around 6000 woman sarpanchs coming here from all over the country before returning to New Delhi in the evening.
Earlier it was expected that he would meet his mother in the morning tomorrow.
