Gujarat govt releases Rs 156 crore for Surat Diamond Bourse Dream City project

Surat: Gujarat government has released Rs 156 crore cheque for Dream City project in Khajod. Plan for this project was approved last month. 36.5 acre Dream City will have 9 towers of 17 storey diamond bourse containing 4250 offices with construction of 66 lakh square ft. Ground breaking for this project was held on 17 February 2015. The government needs to pay Rs 624 crore for this project. Initial activities related to construction for this project has kicked off already. Site office is under construction. To start with, 30 ft excavation will be done for this project which is likely to complete in 36-40 month period. As many as 4200 have booked offices in Surat Diamond Bourse so far. Rs 600 per square ft first installment has been collected from them. Payment of second and third installment has been sought from those booked offices.
