Pune based BVG India to keep Somnath clean: one year contract awarded

By Meenakshi Bhaskar Vaidya at Somnath: Pune based Bharat Vikas Group(BVG) India Ltd group company has been assigned repressibility to keep Somnath Mandir and surrounding area clean. The contract for cleanliness around Somnath mandir has been assigned to this company for one year. Double shift cleanliness drive has been started by the company with strength of 80 persons. Workers will work in two shift 7 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm with uniform, identity card, brush, broom, dustbin, cart etc necessary tools. Mechanize equipment will soon arrive to remove dust.
According to Sudhakar Bhosle, Operation Manager, the company looks after cleanliness at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Parliament House, Prime Minister’s residence, VS hospital in Ahmedabad, Shirdi Saibaba mandir, Dwarka, Tirupati Balaji and other places.
The company also runs 100 and 108 emergency services in Madhya Pradesh. The company set up in 1997 with 8 employees today has 7500 employees strength across India.
In Somnath, the company will do house keeping and cleanliness work from Hamirsinh Gohil circle to Sagar darshan guest house, Gita mandir, Triveni ghat area, Sadbhavna road to Bypass circle, Shankhchakra SIB and Shakhnchakra to Somnath roads.
The company has been allotted office near Somnath temple railway reservation office where operation manager Sudhakar Bhosle, supervisor Rahul Kadam, Naresh Chauhan, Pravin and Hitesh etc staff will function.
Generally the area around Somnath mandir is cleaned by local municipality’s sanitation department. But the government intends to make Somnath world-class destination and therefore Yatradham Vikas Board has roped in a national level company for cleanliness here so that visitors to Somnath may return with good impression.
