Dahod: A wild bear reportedly attacked and injured a woman in a village in Devgadh Baria taluka of Dahod district in Gujarat.
Ramilaben, a resident of Kuva village, was attacked by a wild bear while she had gone to the outskirts of the village to attend the natures call last night. Listening to her shouts villagers gathered but by the time the bear ran away to the nearby jungles from where it had most likely entered the human habitat in search of water and food.
She has been admitted to a hospital in Devgadh Baria.
A forest official today said that the beast would be caged if it enters the village again. A watch is being kept.
