CIMS hospital in Ahmedabad performs second successful heart transplant in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: CIMS hospital here today performed the second successful heart transplant of Gujarat. The heart was shifted today early morning from Surat. The young recipient of the heart was already at CIMS in a critical state in an ICU from last 25 days with severe heart failure and just about 15% heart function. The Heart Transplant surgery has been completed successfully and patient is presently recovering in ICU.
CIMS is the first hospital to have successfully completed a heart transplant in Gujarat. Previous heart transplant patient on whom the heart transplant surgery was conducted at CIMS Hospital a few weeks ago discharged and is at presently doing well, said Dr Milan Chag, Managing Director, CIMS, Ahmedabad.
Spread over 17000 sq. yards, CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad is accredited by JCI, NABH, NABL and HAS ITS CREDIT OF HAVING PERFORMED the first heart transplant hospital in Gujarat. CIMS Hospital in India has over 300 beds spread across two buildings connected by an aero-bridge for patients.
