Meal for Rs 15: Deendayal Upadhyay Bhojanalay inaugurated in Bharuch

Bharuch: Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Bhojanalaya was inaugurated at Pashu Davakhana Compound near railway station in Bharuch on Saturday. The bhojanayala will offer meal for Rs 15 to needy people.
The facility which is an initiative of district administration of Bharuch has been built through Rs 25 lakh grant by former Rajya Sabha member Bharatsinh Parmar. Swaminarayan Gurukul Nahiyer has taken responsibility to run this facility.
The facility was inaugurated by union minister Parshottam Rupala.Speaking on this occasion, minister Ishwarsinh Patel said neighboring Ankleshwar town too will get such kitchen at a cost of Rs 1 crore in next one and half years.
According to district collector Sandip Sagle, the facility will provide meal for Rs 15 to poor and labourer class. Roti, vegetable, dal and rice will be served in the afternoon while khichdi and kadhi will be catered in dinner. To ensure that people can take food easily, the facility of dining table has also been created here.
Pure and cold drinking water facility has also been set up in this bhojanalaya.
If some labourer wants to carry meal in tiffin, he/she will be allowed to do so.
The ministers, district collector, other political leaders and district officials took lunch at bhojanalaya along with needy people on the first day.
BJP former MP Bharatsinh Parmar said “we have started this bhojnalaya as part of centenary year celebration of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The objective behind opening of this bhojanalaya is to provide nutritious food to all people irrespective of their caste.”
