SUMUL working on plan to set up Rs 540 crore hospital cum medical college at Vyara

Vyara: South Gujarat based dairy SUMUL is working on plan to built Rs 540 crore 750-bed hospital in partnership with Canadian organization. The hospital will have 150 seat medical college. Around 2.50 lakh members of Surat Jilla Sahkari Dhudh Utpadak Mandali(SUMUL) will get free treatment. SUMUL dairy chairman Rajesh Pathak on Saturday said the hospital will come up under public private partnership(PPP) model in next five years. SUMUL is yet to plan whether the medical college should be self financed or semi self finance. Likely place to set up proposed hospital and medical college could be district headquarters Vyara in tribal populated Tapi district.
