Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja becomes father, wife Rivaba gives birth to girl-child at Rajkot hospital

Rajkot: Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja today become a proud father as his wife Rivaba gave birth to a health girl child in the wee hours.
Jadeja, a native of Jamnagar is currently in England as part of team India in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. His family lives in Junction plot area of Rajkot city where he also owns a restaurant.
A family member of Jadeja told UNI that Rivaba gave birth to the girl child through a Cesarean operation at around 0116 am in the wee hours past midnight at Sterling Hospital here under the observation of Gynecologist Dr Urvi Sanghvi. Both the mother and the new born were well.
Jadeja also had a telephonic talk with Rivaba and his other family members and was very happy, the family member said.
Notably, Jadeja had tied knot with Rivaba Solanki in April last year.
Incidentally today team India will also take on Sri Lanka in ICC league match in which a win would ensure a semi final berth for the team.
Jadeja put national duty first as he considered being part of the team on England tour necessary and ‘more important.’ Jadeja had in an interview recently to a sports channel had said, “I had to leave my pregnant wife behind. Family matters a lot to me, but it was also necessary to be part of the team. Since the family is there to take care of her even they felt that I should play as that’s more important and I decided to do the same.”
