New Delhi: The opposition parties’ token and symbolic pick for the Presidential elections, Meira Kumar will begin her campaign from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home turf, Gujarat.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Kumar whose Presidential candidature is supported by 17 opposition parties said that she will begin her Presidential election campaign from Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad on 30th.

Meira Kumar will file her nomination papers on Wednesday, the last day for filing of nominations.

Her rival candidate Ram Nath Kovind who is all set to win the Presidential election thanks to over 60% vote majority he enjoys, has already started touring for his campaign.
