PM Narendra Modi to be in Gujarat on August 12, will visit Narmada dam, address maha sammelan at Dabhoi

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be in Gujarat on August 12. The Prime Minister will visit Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam at Kevadia Colony in Central Gujarat. He will perform Narmada pujan there. He will also attend Narmada mahasammelan at Dabhoi in Central Gujarat and deliver an address. All political leaders, office bearers, sadhu-saints and those from other states who contributed to the success of Narmada dam project will be invited to attend this mahasammelan.
These details were shared today by deputy chief minister Shri Nitin Patel in capital Gandhinagar.
Patel said Narmada Utsav will be celebrated in Gujarat from 27 July to 5 August during which 75 Narmada raths will visit the villages that are benefited by Narmada water. The raths will have Goddess Narmada’s murtis, puja of which will be performed by villagers.
During the course of Narmada Utsav, number of cultural events will be organized. At 12 major places, the size of cultural events will be even bigger and they will be attended by ministers and others. Narmada puja, cultural events, music/bhajan events, dayro events, lighting and laser shows etc will be organized at such places.
