Gujarat NCP constitutes 22 member core committee, re-constitution of state executive likely next week

Ahmedabad: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today constituted a 22 member core committee of its Gujarat unit for strengthening the party and making stratagies for the assembly election in the state this year.
Both the NCP MLA’s in Gujarat Party’s state President and MLA from Umreth Jayant Patel and Kutiyana MLA Kandhal Jadeja have been included in the committee with the fomrer heading it.
Patel said that former Maharashtra MLC Rajendra Jain and Naresh Maheshwari (both of whom are observers of the party in Gujarat) have also been included in core committee formed today.
He said that a meeting of the party to discuss the future strategy in the wake of the election and strengthening the party in Gujarat was also held today. The meeting of the committee would be held in Surat and Rajkot in the coming days.
To a query he said that the state executive of party, which was dissolved in the mid of last month, would be reconstituted in a week’s time.
Notably the party had dissolved the state executive along with all the units and cells of the party including district and city committees.
