Rs 4.5 crore development works kick off at Wadhwana lake famous for birds

Dabhoi: A reservoir built by erstwhile Gaikwad government for irrigation purpose has been famous for last few years as bird sanctuary, thanks to arrival of thousands of birds of different varieties here every winter. Local MLA on Friday performed ground breaking for Rs 4.5 crore development of this water body in order to develop it as bird sanctuary. The water body was built by Gaikwad government about 100 years ago. It is known as bird sanctuary for last 25 years. Every winter thousands of visitors come to this place to view different types of birds.
