A jawan from Gujarat martyrs in J&K encounter

Ahmedabad: Among 8 Indian security force jawans who martyred in Pulwama encounter in Jammu & Kashmir, one was CRPF jawan Dinesh Borse(30) from Gujarat. Borse’s family lives in Naroda area of Ahmedabad city. His mortal remains are to be brought to the city today for cremation with the guard of honor. Minister of State for Home, Sardarnagar(airport area) MLA, City Police Commissioner and others will be at airport to pay tribute to martyred jawan. Rupani has announced Rs 4 lakh relief to nearest kin of martyred jawan Borse who was married and had two children one of whom is 3-year old while other 3-month old.
Dinesh’s parents who are suffering from blood pressure are not informed about son’s death. Friends of Dinesh say he was fond of Garba dance during Navratri and had won several prizes.
At least eight security personnel lost their lives, while three militants were gunned down in an encounter in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, said police. Five more security personnel have been injured in the gunfight. The militants, believed to be fidayeen(suicide attackers), had attacked a camp close to the District Police Lines. Militant organization Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the attack. The militants had taken shelter in the family quarters of the complex. The security forces together evacuated everybody from those blocks and in the process, we have suffered some casualties, but the terrorists have been eliminated.
