Some villages still water logged in Banaskantha two months after flood, 150 pumps on task

Palanpur: Two months after flood in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat, over 300 MCFT water logging is uncleared.
The state administration has installed 150 submersible pumps to flush out the water.
Post-flood ther was 636 mcft water logging in low lying areas of Tharad and Vav belts. Of this about half water has been flushed out and released to Narmada canal through pumps.
The situation is worst in Nagla, Khanpur and Dod villages.
Water supply and UGVCL are still working on this task with 150 pumps.
