Second phase preliminary turnout 68.70%

Gandhinagar: Chief Electoral Office(CEO) Gujarat BB Swain’s office today evening released preliminary figures of voters turnout in the second phase of polling. As per the figures released,there has been 68.70% turnout in the second phase. However the final turnout figure possibly with correction of plus or minus 2% will be out tomorrow with district and assembly seats specific details. In the first poll, preliminarily turnout was 68% which was later corrected to 66.75% next day. Turnout this year is lower than previous poll, but in sync with turnout that was witnessed in earlier elections. In 2012, turnout was highest which can be considered unusual case.
