Gandhinagar: Production has started in 11,999 of 17,081 units for which Memorandums of Understanding(MoUs) were signed in 36 sectors in Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2015, said the Government of Gujarat today in the assembly.
In reply to a question, minister Saurabh Patel said 8 countries including Japan, Canada, UK, USA, Australia, Singapore, Netherlands, South Africa were partners for the summit in which 2500 representatives from 110 countries had participated in 14 country seminars, 10 theme seminars and other events.
Patel said only 3,000 projects are dropped while 552 are in initial stage. The expenditure for the summit was Rs 61.53 crore, the minister added. He said the motive behind the summit was employment generation for youths.
