Blast in boiler of chemical factory in Vatva GIDC area of Gujarat, one dead, 4 injured

Ahmedabad: One worker today died while 4 others injured seriously due to blast in the drier and boiler of a chemical factory in Vatva GIDC area of Ahmedabad.
Additional Chief Fire Officer Rajesh Bhatt said that the drier vessel and boiler of Dhanlaxami Industries situated on plot number 3223 of phase IV of GIDC Vatva exploded and ripped apart in the afternoon today.
One person died on the spot and four other got critically injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital in Ahmedabad.
The compnay manufactures and exports dyes and intermediate products.
Bhatt said that the fire caused by the explosion has been completely controlled.
Meanwhile, the Inspector of factories and police were investigating the incident.
