25 tonne Kesar mango exported so far from Talala market yard in Gujarat, auction to start on 3rd May

Talala: Auction of globally famous Kesar mango will start on 3rd May at Talala based mango market yard. The auction this year is late by 12 days. Last year, auction had started on 22nd April. The season last year had witnessed selling of 10.67 lakh boxes of Kesar mango.
A meeting of Kesar mango traders and commission agents was chaired by Chairman of market yard Kiritbhai Patel. A decision was taken to start auction process on 3rd May.
It’s worth noting that Kesar mango pack house set up in Talala yard has so far exported 25 tonne Kesar mango this year. The pack house has grading, washing, ripening, pre-cooling and water treatment facilities, required for quality export abroad. Last year 281 tonne Kesar mangoes were exported to Europe, America, Australia and Dubai from this facility.
