Court in Gujarat awards 10 years jail term to 2 including Talati for taking Rs 200 bribe

A local court here today awarded 10 years of jail term to two people including a Talati (revenue employee) in a case of bribery of a meager amount of just Rs 200.
Talati cum mantri Mahendra B Pandor and his broker B Khant were caught red-handed in 2014 by anti corruption bureau (ACB) for taking Rs 200 from a man in Doli village under Santrampur taluka of the district.
The court of district judge today awarded, 10 years term to both the accused and also imposed Rs 2000 fine on each of them.
