Rajkot:

A day after around 60 leaders/workers of Congress left the party to support former MLA and Rajkot district president Indranil Rajyaguru, 52 more such resignations have taken place for similar reasons.

Among those resigned from the party are also a city president, 4 city secretaries and two city vice president.

Notably, around 60 leaders/workers of whome 19 were either current or former office bearers of the district congress committee had left the party yesterday in support of Rajyaguru who had himself quit the party two days ago.

Rajyaguru had changed his erstwhile constituency(Rajkot-East) to contest assembly poll unsuccessfully from Rajkot-west seat against CM Vijay Rupani.

Over a dozen of the party coroprators in RMC have also reportedly given ultimatum to the state party leadership.

Notably, a group of Congress leaders/workers yesterday also created ruckus at the party state head-office in Ahmedabad in presence of president Amit Chavda.

The spree of resignations from the party in Rajkot continued today despite Congress taking strong stance against ruckus-creators in Ahmedabad.
