Rajkot/Jhansi:
Senior leader of Congress party in Gujarat, Jasdan MLA Kunvarji Bavalia today said he skipped the meeting of State Congress MLAs called by State party incharge Rajiv Satav after informing him in advance.
Bavalia who is leader of Koli community is upset with neglect of party’s senior leaders. He has expressed his annoyance openly. He remained absent from the meeting of State party MLAs called by party incharge Rajiv Satav today.
Bavaliya said over phone that he was in Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh in connection with participation in an event pertaining to Kabir Mahotsav.
‘I have already informed it to Satav ji and also taken leave from the party with a written intimation. I arrived Jhansi last night only,’ he said.
He also said that when he returns to Guajrat he would have a meeting with Satav.
Bavlia had recently held a meeting with Rahul Gandhin in Delhi in presence of Satav and put forth his annoyance over the ignore of senior party leaders.
He had also participated in a meeting of Koli community at Bichhiya in his constituency Jasdan in Rajkot district.
Amid uproar, in-fight and revolt in the party Satav rushed to Ahmedabad today to hold a series of meeting including one-to-ones with various leaders in an apparent attempt of ‘damage-control’.
However around 20 of 77 MLAs were absent in Satav’s meeting which was held at State party headquarters in Paldi area of Ahmedabad.
