Blast in the reactor of Pharma major Unique chemicals’ plant in Bharuch, 2 workers dead, 6 injured

At least 2 workers of well known pharma company Unique chemicals died and six injured this morning when a blast in the reactor of its plant in Panoli GIDC area under Ankaleshwar rural police station area of Bharuch district in Gujarat occurred this morning, police said.
PI of Ankaleshwar Rural police station B L Vadukar said that the blast took place at around 0830hrs this morning due to some king of technical fault in the reactor of the plant.
‘Two of the workers of the plant situated in the phase 4 of Panoli GIDC died while 6 others injured who were admitted to hospital,’ he said.
Vadukar said that the blast damaged the area around the reactor unit and a fire that ensued was controlled quickly.
The Inspector of Factories of Labour department of Gujarat government was doing detailed investigation.
