MLA Rakesh Shah pays fine for not wearing helmet

Ahmedabad: Ellisbridge MLA Rakesh Shah today paid fine for not wearing helmet while riding a two-wheeler in his own constituency area.
Late in the afternoon today, Shah was going to besna with his wife on Honda Activa two-wheeler. He was not wearing helmet. He stopped at Nehrunagar cross roads following red traffic signal. A traffic police jawan along with other traffic staff was standing a foot away from Shah but he didn’t approach Shah to collect fine.
Shah left the place after green signal. To cover the ongoing drive against violation of traffic rules by traffic police, number of media persons were present at Naherunagar circle. They captured Shah’s two-wheeler drive without helmet.
Later when Shah’s traffic violation and police’s inaction started flashing on news channels, Shah returned from Besna function and paid fine at Manekbaug. Shah admitted his mistake while speaking to media persons. He said it was his mistake and he had returned to pay fine.
