Veteran litterateur, journalist, poet Bhagwatikumar Sharma passes away

Surat: Veteran litterateur, journalist, poet Bhagwatikumar Sharma passed away today morning. He was 84. Born in 1934 in Surat.
He joined editorial department of Surat headquartered daily Gujarat Mitra in 1955. He headed Gujarati Sahitya Parishad during 2009-2011.
Sharma received Sahitya Academy award for his novel Asuryalok in 1988. He was presented Ranjitram Suvarna Chandrak in 1984. Sharma also received Kumar paritoshik, Harindra Dave Smruti Puraskar, Gujarat Gaurav Award, Sahityaratna award and Vali Gujarati Ghazal puraskar.
Shri Sharma was felicitated with D.litt by South Gujarat University.
