Redevelopment of 25-year or older flats to be granted if approved by 75% owners : Bill passed in Gujarat assembly

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Assembly today passed Gujarat Maliki Flat (Sudhara) bill – 2018. The bill was moved by deputy chief minister Nitin Patel. It proposes grant of redevelopment permission to flats that are 25-year or older in case 75% or more owners give approval.Also, those flats that are termed dangerous for living by related authority can also go for redevelopment as per the bill. Redevelopment will be granted in such cases as per new GDCR.
