Banas Medical College and Banas Navras food oil plant inaugurated

Palanpur: Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Nitin Patel inaugurated Banas medical college and research institute here on Friday in presence of Banas dairy chief and former minister of state for Health Shankarbhai Chaudhary and local MP and minister of state in the Centre Haribhai Chaudhary among others.
The hospital will be run by Galbabhai Nanjibhai Patel Charitable Trust. Galbabhai was founder of Banas dairy.
Speaking on this occasion, Nitin Patel said, prior to 1995 there were only 6 medical colleges and 900 medical seats while today there are 26 medical colleges and 5,000 medical seats in the State.
Patel also inaugurated food oil packing facility at Badarpura. He in his speech admired cooperative run oil refinery mill. The oil brand has been named ‘Banas Navras’.
The hospital facility opened on Friday has 300 bed facility including 30 bed in intensive care unit(ICU). The hospital has trauma, general OPD, emergency labour room, CT scan, dialysis etc facilities. 150 students have been given admission in this college.
