Gujarat pays rich tribute to Bapu on birth anniversary, over 5000 students form countenance of Gandhiji in his hometown

Porbandar/Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad: Mahatma Gandhi was today paid rich tribute in his home-state Gujarat on his birth anniversary and around 7000 students at his birthplace Porbandar stood in planned manner to create the shape of his face, a feat which in all likelihood would also get a place in Guinness world records.

Around 7000 students assembled and made the shape of countenance of Bapu at Chowpati on the sea shore in presence of CM Vijay Rupani and the representatives of Guinness world records. They did it by well planned movements in form of human chain. A large shape of the face of Bapu become visible.

Earlier Rupani had also participated in the sarv dharma prarthana sabha at the ancestral house of Bapu, Kirti Mandir.

Governor O P Kohli, DyCM Nitin Patel, BJP president Jeetu Vaghani attended a prayer meeting at historic Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad.

Various ministers of the state as well as union ministers belonging to Gujarat participated in cleanliness and other events organized at different places across Gujarat on the occasion. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya was in capital Gandhinagar while Haribhai Chowdhary was in Palanpur.

Gujarat agriculture minister R C Faldu was in Bharuch, Energy Minister Saurabh Patel in Botad and MoS Home Pradipsinh Jadeja in Godhara.
