One dead, two rescued from sea during Suvali beach festival in South Gujarat

Surat: A youth today died of drowning while two others were somehow rescued from sea near Suvali beach in Surat.
Police said that the deceased has been identified as one Akash Shukla, who had arrived at the beach in Hazira suburb of Surat where beach festival is going on.
He along with two others were bathing in the sea when suddenly they were carried away by a strong current. While the other two were saved by locals, Akash died due to drowning.
Suvali Beach is an urban beach along the Arabian Sea situated near the village of Suvali in the Hazira suburb of Surat in Gujarat. The black sand beach lies 25 km from the centre of Surat and is among the cleanest beach in India.
