January 07, 2019
Gandhinagar: Amid the ongoing ‘internal bickering’ in Gujarat Congress, Senior BJP leader and Gujarat DyCM Nitin Patel today claimed that the main opposition party in Gujarat would see a major divide and breaking away of several leaders before the coming Loksabha polls.
Talking to newsmen he said that seemingly Congress in Gujarat was being run not as a party but like groups and factions.
‘Recently several annoyed leaders of the party including MLAs, MPs and even a former union Minister participated in a meeting at the residence of a senior congress leader,’ he said in a reference to the meeting held at former GPCC president Arjun Modhwadiya’s residence.
He claimed that there would be a major divide in the party and several of its leaders including MLAs would leave the party before the LS polls.
Patel said that some of the MLAs from the party would also join BJP.
