Jamnagar: Jamnagar MLA and cabinet minister of Gujarat RC Faldu on Wednesday said Hardik Patel is not Patidar leader but a self proclaimed Patidar leader.
Faldu reacting to a news headline in which Hardik Patel was described as Patidar leader said: He is not a Patidar leader but a self claimed Patidar leader.
Faldu also said that after Hardik had been shown mirror everywhere in Gujarat from Jamnagar (where he was greeted with Modi Modi chant in a public function) to Ahmedabad (where morning walkers grilled him with tough questions), Hardik fears of humiliating defeat in election and he is trying to save his political career by running away from power of Jamnagaris #GJ10(RTO registration code for vehicles registered in Jamnagar).
Faldu’s tweet was retweeted by BJP candidate-declared for Jamnagar Lok Sabha seat Poonamben Madam who is also sitting MP on this seat.
It should be mentioned here that Hardik Patel who led violent ‘non-political quota agitation’ in year 2015 in which a dozen youths died recently joined Congress party. He is now seeking candidature in Lok Sabha polls on Jamnagar seat. Hardik is from Viramgam in Ahmedabad district. He is seen as outsider in Jamnagar. His decision to contest from Jamnagar has surprised many. However he will be able to contest the election only if his conviction of 2 years and 9 months imprisonment given by Visnagar court is suspended by the Gujarat High Court, plea for which has been filed already by him.
