Congress declares names of candidates for six more Lok Sabha seats

New Delhi: Main opposition Congress party has today announced the names of six more candidates for Lok Sabha general elections in Gujarat.
The candidates declared today evening are:
Patan: Jagdish Thakor
Rajkot: Lalit Kagathara
Porbandar: Lalit Vasoya
Junagadh: Punjabhai Vansh
Panchmahal: VK Khant
Valsad(ST): Jitubhai Chaudhary
Jagdish Thakor is former Lok Sabha MP from same seat. Lalit Kagathara is sitting MLA so as Lalit Vasoya. Both Lalits are considered Hardik Patel aides. Punjabhai Vansh is also sitting MLA. Jitubhai Chaudhary is MLA from Kaprada seat. VK Khant is father of Congress supporting independent MLA son Bhupendra Khant.
It’s worth noting that State party chief Amit Chavda today after attending Central Election Committee meeting at 10 Janpath in Delhi had told media persons that seven names were finalized and they shall be announced later today. One of seven names was believed Tushar Chaudhary for Bardoli seat. However late in the evening, the party declared not seven but only six names. Bardoli seat was not declared in this list.
