Patan: Five senior Congress leaders in Gujarat including 3 ex-MLA’s resign from the party

Patan: Five senior leaders of Congress including three ex MLAs have resigned from the party.
Ex MLAs Jodhaji Thakor (Patan), Chamanji Thakor (erstwhile Vagdod assembly segment), Dharsinh Thakor (Kankrej) and former president of Patan Zila Panchayat Abhesinh Thakor and former Gujarat Congress secretary Popatji Thakor have in their resignation letter sent to state party president Amit Chavda said that they were taking the decision due to ignore of them in candidate selection process.
They have said that they had also sought ticket for Patan LS seat claiming to be local candidates and the state leadership had assured them of not taking any decision without meeting them.
They have claimed that as the party has almost decided to field Jagdish Thakor from the seat they were angry and resigning from the party and all the posts that they hold.
