Rajkot, Junagadh zoo to get Zebra, Himalayan Bear, Hamadryas baboon and more in exchange of lions

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister has given in-principle approval to give two pairs of lions to Mumbai and one pair of lions to Punjab based zoo.
As per the approval given under Animal Exchange Programme, two male and two female lions will be given by Junagadh based Sakkarbaug zoo to Mumbai based Vir Mata Jijabhai Bhosle zoo. In exchange, Mumbai zoo will give a pair of Zebra, two pairs of cocktail grey, one pair of cocktail white, four pairs of Night heron and one female hornbill to Sakkarbaug zoo.
Similarly, Rajkot geological park will give one pair of lions to Punjab based MC geological park. In exchange it will get one Himalayan bear, one pair of wild cat, one pair of Hamadryas baboon, three pairs of rose ring parakeet, two pairs of comb duck, zebra finch, two pairs of alexandrine parakeet and painted stork.
