ACB nabs deputy Sarpanch red handed taking bribe

Gandhinagar: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today caught red-handed a deputy Sarpanch taking bribe in Koth village under Dholka taluka of Ahmedabad district.
Assistant Director of the ACB DP Chudasama said that deputy Sarpanch of Koth Panchayat Lalji P Vaghela had sought Rs 15000/- as bribe for measurements of the house of the complainant and making the related entry in the Panchayat register. Later he agreed to lower the amount to Rs 10000/-.
Based on the secret complain in this regard, the ACB laid a trap and nabbed Vaghela red handed taking the money at the residence of the complainant.
