Amit Shah inaugurates Income Tax circle flyover in Ahmedabad on first day of his Gujarat visit

Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister, BJP president and party MP from Gandhinagar Loksabha constituency Amit Shah today arrived here on his maiden visit to home-state Gujarat after the return of Narendra Modi government to power.

During his two day visit on July 3 and he would participate in various formal and informal events and meetings. Tomorrow in the wee hours he would also participate in the Mangala Aarti of historic Jagannath temple with family just before the 142nd annual rath yatra.

It is Shah’s first visit to the state after massive electoral victory of the party getting 303 seats in the Lok sabha.

He arrived at the SVBP International Airport in the late afternoon where he was welcomed by CM Vijay Rupani, DyCM Nitin Patel, ministers, party MLAs, leaders and workers.

In his first event he inaugurated the newly constructed over bridge at the income tax cross by AMC. The 805 meter in length and 18 m wide over bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 57.50 crores. Two parkings on the busy Ashram roads beneath it has also been made which was capable of parking 175 four wheelers and 450 two wheelers at a time.

Soon after it he would dedicate to the people a community hall and library and also five offices of talatis (revenue employees) of Gandhinagar LS area during an event organized at Dinesh hall in Naranpura. CM and DyCM would also remain present on the occasion. The Dinesh Hall with one 750 people AC hall on floor 1 and two such AC halls of the capacity of 375 each along with a library with 262 readers capacity has been constructed at over 5500 sq meter land at a cost of Rs 18.42 crores.

An event of the workers of all the 7 assembly constituencies under Gandhinagar LS area to greet him would also be held at the GMDC convention hall late in the evening.
