GIDC purchases development rights of 0.6 million sq.ft in GIFT City for IT/ITES companies

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government arm Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has purchased development rights of 0.6 million square ft BUA in Gujarat International Finance Tech City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar this year at a cost of Rs. 51 crore. In response to demand made by IT/ITES companies, GIDC has started construction of Gujarat’s first IT park here. Such development will create large number of jobs and business opportunities and expand service sector in the State. These details were shared by Chief Minister Rupani who holds the portfolio of Urban Development department in reply to a question in the assembly.
